Weekend Wine Down

Date: Sun, Jun 20, 2021
Time 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Make Sundays your Fundays from 3-5 p.m. Each week we'll feature awesome music where you can enjoy fabulous views of Lake Superior while sipping a wine or cider!

Molly Maher, a dear friend of ours, and Adam Moe are our musicians this week.

Molly resides on the border between the lands of Americana and the Blues and moves beautifully between them, blending simmer and cool with kick-ass guitar playing. Molly has traveled the roads of the American music tradition and returned to sing about it with an authentic and sage voice. To see her perform live is an unforgettable experience.  An incomparable singer and songwriter with compelling depth and soul and cutting lyrics draws from the deep roots of Americana music. Writing songs that ring true her singing is a fine balance of deep and soulful, somewhere between Lucinda Williams and Bonnie Raitt. Twangy and lament-filled spirit, guitar driven country-folk-jam with a blues swagger.

Adam Moe is generally known as a fiddler. You’ve probably seen him singing and fiddling as half of Pushing Chain, the Minnesota-based folky-tonk duo. He is also a singer/songwriter with a love for classic country sounds, traditional folk balladry, and a fascination with writers like Roger Miller and Tom T. Hall. Backed by his baritone ukulele and his off-kilter sense of humor, Adam’s show is both relaxing and thoughtful, perfect for that next glass of wine.

Adam grew up in the Grand Marais area and currently lives in Duluth with his wife and his intrepid terrier, Mrs. Parker. Until recently, he traveled the country with Pushing Chain, playing venues and festivals across the U.S. and Canada, including the 2019 Woody Guthrie Festival and the 2019 Kerrville Folk Fest.

Our new stage is ready for action which means we have ample grass area for you to bring your own chairs or blankets to sit on for the concert.
