Make Sundays your Fundays this summer from 3-6 p.m. Each week we'll feature awesome music where you can enjoy fabulous views of Lake Superior while sipping a wine or cider!
Our musicians this week will be two talented women from Minnesota - Molly Maher and Mary Bue!
Mary just received the City Pages 2020 Best Songwriter award and best of all, she just released her new album, The World is Your Lover. The new album, produced by the Suburbs’ Steve Price, is a synthesis of her seven-plus releases, merging pianos and guitars, spiritual longing, and real-world sorrow. Her previous albums achingly express life in melancholy piano-poems, yet in 2015 Mary risked a genre switch to aggressive electric guitars, concise lyricism, and a nod to to 90’s grunge.
Molly, a dear friend of ours, resides on the border between the lands of Americana and the Blues and moves beautifully between them, blending simmer and cool with kick-ass guitar playing (not to mention, playing some of the coolest guitars too!) Her new album, Follow, is an amazing mix of tunes defying a genre.
