North Shore folklore tells us the Temperance River received its name because there is no sand “bar” where it enters Lake Superior. This is unusual, as most of the rivers on the Big Lake have a sand bar. This French Colombard and apple wine is somewhat “temperate” being perfect for those times when you are looking for a low alcohol white wine.
French Colombard is a grape used a lot in the past and is part of the Chenin Blanc family. We have combined this white wine with apple wine made with Regent apples to give the wine a slightly sweet flavor.
